An Opportunity to Invest in Future Discipleship

On Sunday, February 15, Pastor Stephen Anderson and Andy Thomas, campaign chairman and son of founding members Evan and Carol Thomas, shared the vision of Gathered & Growing during our worship service. They invited each of us to commit ourselves to prayer and consecration to the Lord, to offer ourselves as a living sacrifice, and to follow his leading in each of our participation over the next three years.
The vision for Gathered & Growing is best summarized through three simple words: welcome, connect, and equip.
WELCOME: A warm and friendly space where all are welcomed in.
The addition of a new gathering space will create a clear, warm front door where people can connect, find their way, and prepare their hearts for worship. This isn’t just a building project—it’s an intentional step to reflect who we are and to help every person feel seen, connected, and ready to encounter Christ.
CONNECT: A dedicated place for meaningful relationships, encouragement, and discipleship.
What if Sunday mornings were a launching point for meaningful conversations and real connection? Right now, our layout makes it hard to slow down, meet people, and build relationships—but a dedicated gathering space could change everything. Imagine a place designed not just for gathering, but for discipleship and for growing together in faith, friendship, and mission.
EQUIP: A thoughtfully designed addition that maximizes our campus for ministry - now and in the future.
What if a hallway could transform how a church welcomes families, supports ministry, and prepares for the future? A new corridor and expanded seating will make it easier for guests to navigate, kids to stay safe, and everyone to fully engage in worship—without crowding key spaces. These thoughtful upgrades aren’t just about construction; they’re about strengthening the church’s mission for years to come.
An invitation to participate
Pastor Stephen and Andy invited our entire church family not to give immediately, but to commit this project to the Lord in prayer for the next two weeks, and to humbly ask him what our part is in sacrificially and joyfully giving towards the project. The emphasis in Gathered & Growing is on equal participation and sacrifice, rather than on equal amounts. The amounts we offer to the Lord may vary significantly, but through our participation together as a united church body, we will have the joy of celebrating God's faithfulness together throughout this project.

Commitment cards were distributed during our worship service, and will be received in a special commitment service on Sunday, March 1.
